  • Silent Auction

  • AAMVA has established a legacy of leaving the communities we visit with a donation to help in charitable works. This year, we will be hosting a Silent Auction in conjunction with the Chair's Welcome Reception: Colonial Games, on Tuesday, August 16, 2016. The recipient of our fundraising will be the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to honor the legacy of extraordinary people and events that gave rise to the new world and also give direction for its future. Proceeds from the Chair's Welcome Reception: Colonial Olympic Games and Silent Auction will benefit the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, the operator of the world's largest living history museum. The CW Foundation's mission is preserving this essential part of America's heritage, and finding new ways to expand the public's appreciation of its relevance today. With your support, CW will thrive for generations to come - for all who visit and the global audiences reached online. Learn more about Colonial Williamsburg.

There are a couple of different ways to help with the fundraising effort. You can mail or bring an item to be placed into the auction and/or you can make a direct monetary donation to the Colonial Williams Foundation.

    Donate an Item
If you would like to provide an item for the auction, please mail it in advance to Leslie Grott at the address below or bring the item with you. In either case, please complete the Silent Auction Donation Form in advance and email it to Leslie Grott. This will allow us to prepare for the auction.

    Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles

    2300 West Broad Street
    Richmond, VA 23220

Mailed items must be sent in time to arrive at the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles by Monday, August 8. You can also bring the item with you and drop it off at the AAMVA AIC Information Desk.

    Direct Monetary Donation
If you prefer to give a monetary donation directly to the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, please do so using the AAMVA portal. This will ensure that donations are credited to the AAMVA fundraising effort.

If you have any questions, please contact Leslie Grott at (804) 367-5401.
