AAMVA’s Board of Directors bestows four awards recognizing outstanding service in motor vehicle administration and law enforcement. These awards represent the highest association recognition of individuals or organizations in our community.
Categories
Lifetime Achievement Award
An individual no longer with a jurisdictional member agency who has at least 10 years of service in the motor vehicle community, and has served on a committee, working group and/or Board of Directors of AAMVA, or IRP, Inc.
Distinguished Jurisdictional Member
An employee of a motor vehicle or law enforcement agency who has been active in association affairs without being elected to the Board of Directors, and who has made outstanding contributions at the national and international levels of motor vehicle administration or law enforcement. (The nominee must have been an employee of a member agency during the previous calendar year.)
Distinguished Board Member
An employee of a motor vehicle or law enforcement agency who has served on the AAMVA and/or IRP, Inc. Boards of Directors and who has contributed to the advancement of the association. (The nominee must have been an employee of a member agency during the previous calendar year.)
Distinguished Community Member
A member organization or an individual who has made a major contribution to AAMVA or an AAMVA member jurisdiction.
Nomination Guidelines
You may nominate one person or organization. Nominations must be received by March 30, 2007 for consideration.
About the Judges
The Distinguished Service Award Selection Committee, all of whom are directors on AAMVA's board, makes final selections.
Awards Presentation
The winners are recognized at the Annual International Conference.
