Program Objectives

1. To give recognition to driver examiners who have demonstrated adherence to the principles and recommended practices of driver examining and a high level of conduct in the practice of their profession;  
2. To encourage and assist driver examiners in maintaining and increasing their knowledge and competence through continuing education and professional development opportunities;  
3. To increase public understanding and acceptance of driver licensing professionals as essential and valuable members of the community;  
4. To protect the public interest by endorsing jurisdictional driver licensing programs that call for special training and experience;  
5. To achieve uniformity in basic driver licensing practices throughout the United States and Canada; and
6. To promote highway safety.
