Hotel Rates
$159 per night, plus a $5 per person service charge. Taxes include a 2% tourism improvement fee, 4% Alberta tourism levy and a 5% federal goods and services tax.

Reservations are currently being accepted by the hotel. Attendees who wish to make advance reservations may call the Fairmont directly at 403.522.3511 or call the Fairmont's global reservations number at 800.441.1414. Be sure to mention AAMVA. Rooms must be reserved by June 7, 2009, to be eligible for the special rate.

Air Travel
When making your travel arrangements, AAMVA's corporate airline contracts can be used. Provide the following information to your travel agent or enter as appropriate on the Web. Identify the account numbers by the program name when providing the information.

• Shuttle service via motor coach is available from Brewster Transportation. Shuttles run from Calgary to Lake Louise at 12:30 and 6:30 p.m. Return trips are available at 6:45 and 10:40 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. The shuttle trip is 3 to 3 ½ hours in length. Busses leave “on-time” and do not wait for late flights. The fare includes airport exit fees and a 5% goods and service tax. You can learn more or make a reservation at the airport shuttle Web site.
• Car rental - Most of the major rental car companies have offices at the Calgary airport. If several staff members are attending from any organization or if coordination of arrival/departure times is accomplished among various attendees, car rental is probably the most economical.  The drive from Calgary is about 2 ½ hours.
• Ride sharing - We are trying to facilitate a RideShare program to help folks get from Calgary airport to the conference site at the Fairmont Chateau at Lake Louise, and back. If you have a car and are willing to take a passenger or two to/from the airport to the hotel, OR if you’re looking for a ride, please fill out the RideShare form and return it to Sheila Prior. Driver/rider info will be posted on the Region IV Conference Web site and anyone interested in giving or getting a ride should make contact to make arrangements. Separate contacts may have to be made for arrival and departure trips.
