2010 Annual Region IV Conference

It is with much pleasure and enthusiasm that I invite all of you to attend the 2010 Region IV AAMVA Conference, to be held at the Grove Hotel and Boise Convention Center in beautiful Boise Idaho! Conference dates are June 29–July 1, with fly in on the 28 and fly out on July 2.

Our conference theme, “Back to Our Roots, Mission Critical: Redefining Reality”, is meant to address the real issues that each of our agencies is facing. With cutbacks, furloughs, layoffs, and office closures we are all experiencing, it is time to revisit what our true mission is, and how to work smart to achieve our goals in the face of our current economy. More important is how we deal with our customers who see service declining, and how to respond to their concerns and meet their needs. It is also important to address employee issues and how we can help them deal with heavier workloads, declining pay, and the impact this economy has on them - our most important asset. Keeping up morale is a difficult task during these times.

The conference schedule will be much like the last few with a series of breakout sessions, workshops and general sessions with many opportunities to share information with one another on a variety of issues. These are your opportunities to share your experiences and what’s worked well for your jurisdiction! Learning from each other is what makes AAMVA conferences so valuable and successful! As work on the conference agenda progresses, updated information will be available on the AAMVA website. You will be able to view the agenda, explore information about Boise, and register for the conference.
