AAMVA is excited to announce the first in a series of Webinars hosted by AAMVA Committees. Join us December 9, from 2 p.m.-3 p.m. (ET) for a discussion with Dr. William J. Rauch and AAMVA’s Tom Manuel on elements that make up an effective ignition interlock program to maximize recidivism. Dr. Rauch and Mr. Manuel worked on Ignition Interlocks studies spanning fourteen years in Maryland. This webinar will give you insights on methods to implement an effective program that may reduce alcohol recidivism in your jurisdiction. Dr. Rauch is currently a senior research analyst with the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI). Dr. Rauch's more than 30 years of research experience includes evaluating ignition interlock license restriction programs under funding by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism and the Maryland Department of Transportation. Tom Manuel is AAMVA’s Program Director, of Driver Fitness.
