While most older drivers may be good drivers, the physical changes associated with aging can ultimately affect our ability to drive safely. That's why the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators and its partners in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia, have created "GrandDriver", a pilot program that provides information about aging and driving.
GrandDriver is urging the public-particularly drivers over 65 and their adult children-to learn more about the effects of aging on our ability to drive and to talk about these issues. The buttons on the left side of this page will take you to Web sites that will provide information on the signs that your driving may be affected, what you can do to remain a safe driver and places you can turn if you need assistance. These should help you and your loved ones continue to "get around safe and sound."
