Welcome to the 2004 edition of the Emissions Reciprocity Locator. Its goal is to define and present those areas, nationwide, where vehicle emissions testing is being conducted. The Locator presents alphabetically by state:
- Testable area,
- Model years tested,
- Exempt vehicles,
- Test fee/other requirements,
- Types of vehicles tested,
- Reciprocal requirements, and
- Contact information.
The Locator was developed by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IL EPA), which has made it available for all jurisdictions to assist in determining emissions reciprocity requirements. Updates from the 2003 edition have a shaded background. Every effort has been taken to ensure the accuracy of the data contained in the Locator, but developments in the field of vehicle emissions testing, environmental concerns, and legislative actions continuously impact this information.
