The following process is proposed when AAMVA seeks to provide statements of resolve regarding issues of interest, or when AAMVA’s support is sought by outside groups or organizations:
- AAMVA’s CEO identifies or receives a request for AAMVA’s position or support on an issue.
- Potential conflicts, legal or otherwise, are considered.
- The CEO discusses the request with the Chair of the Board.
- AAMVA management drafts a Resolution for Executive Committee review.
- The Executive Committee reviews the Resolution.
- The Resolution is brought to the full AAMVA Board of Directors for additional input and vote.
- If the Resolution is passed, the CEO shares it with the AAMVA membership.
