  • NMVTIS Law Enforcement Working Group

  • AAMVA has created a National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS) Law Enforcement Working Group. NMVTIS is an electronic system designed to protect consumers from fraud and keep stolen vehicles from being resold. NMVTIS captures specific pieces of vehicle information from state motor vehicle titling agencies, automobile recyclers, junk and salvage yards, and insurance carriers into one system. NMVTIS Law Enforcement Access is intended to provide local, state and federal law enforcement with the information necessary to investigate, deter and prevent vehicle-related crimes.
