IICMVA Fall Meeting Planned Concurrently with AAMVA 2008 Fall Workshop
The Insurance Industry Committee on Motor Vehicle Administration (IICMVA) will be meeting in conjunction with the AAMVA Fall Workshop in Tampa, Florida Oct. 27-30, 2008. IICMVA is an all industry advisory group formed in January 1968 as the official liaison between the insurance industry and motor vehicle departments in the U.S. and Canada. The need for such a committee was identified when AAMVA adopted a resolution that an industry committee be formed to work with motor vehicle administrators on matters affecting mutual interests. IICMVA will host its full committee meeting with insurance company members, vendors and jurisdiction DMV financial responsibility representatives on Monday, Oct. 27, 2008 from 12-6pm. Additionally, IICMVA will be participating in the AAMVA Workshop during various Financial Responsibility & Insurance (FR & I) Discipline sessions including providing a session on FR during the concurrent breakout sessions. On Monday evening (Oct. 27th), IICMVA will sponsor a reception for IICMVA members, Vendors (Associate Members of IICMVA) and jurisdiction DMV FR & I representatives. If you are responsible for FR & I in your jurisdiction or have interest in this important discipline, plan to attend the IICMVA meetings in conjunction with the 2008 AAMVA Fall Workshop.
