CDLIS System Availability

  • Production Region Hours
    • Monday – Sunday (23 X 7) from 4:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. (ET)
  • Test Region Hours
    • Sunday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. (ET)
    • Thursday and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to Midnight (ET)

PDPS System Availability
(Production and Test)

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
    • System starts up at 4:00 a.m., Eastern Time (ET)
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
    • System shuts down at 3:00 a.m. (ET)
    • System is down from 12:30 a.m. (ET) on Sunday until 4:00 a.m. (ET) on Monday
  • Production Batch Run Hours
    • Monday – Saturday 6:00 p.m. (ET), inquiries must be in before 4:00 (ET) in order to be processed the same day.

  • Stand Alone Sundays: Online systems availability is not guaranteed on standalone Sundays. Standalone activities require mainframe systems to be shut down or to be intermittently available. Four Sundays per year are reserved for intrusive system maintenance activities. The standalone Sunday previously scheduled and announced for October 10th has been canceled.  All systems will be available on 10/10/10.

  • National Computer Center Annual Building Shutdown
    The NCC will be undergoing extensive electrical work that is likely to require more than one shutdown based on the extent of work accomplished during the first and subsequently required shutdowns.
     
    Shutdown of NCC services begins Saturday at 12:01 a.m. Services are restored by 5:00 a.m. Monday, the holiday. There will be no shutdown over the Columbus Day holiday in 2010 due to Elections. The next National Computer Center (NCC) shutdown is tentatively scheduled for Presidents Day weekend, February 19th – 20th. 
     

Selective Service Registration (SSR) Availability

  • Monday – Saturday 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. (ET)

Verification of Lawful Status (VLS)

  • System Unavailable
    • SAVE weekly maintenance from 6:00 p.m. (ET) on Sunday to 12:00 a.m. Monday (ET)
    • Approximately every 3 months, the VLS system performs software upgrade to the SAVE program during the maintenance window.
