U.S. Safety Efforts: Legislation and Toward Zero Deaths National Strategy

Find out the latest transportation safety happenings from DC. Covering the latest developments in Congressional interests, pending legislation and national efforts, the session will cover national actions that could impact state safety activities. The session will also include an update and work session on the Toward Zero Deaths: A National Strategy on Highway Safety initiative. This is a data-driven effort focusing on identifying and creating opportunities for changing American culture as it relates to highway safety. The effort will focus on developing strong leadership and champions in the organizations that can directly impact highway safety through engineering, enforcement, education, emergency medical service (EMS), policy, public health, communications and other efforts.
