NDR/PDPS Cleanfile |
The National Driver Register (NDR) will conduct a Cleanfile on June 22, 2013.
Cleanfile is an optional process. It is a means for jurisdictions to refresh the pointers it has on the Problem Driver Pointer System (PDPS). NDR replaces all pointers on the PDPS file with the Cleanfile set of pointers sent by the jurisiction. In order for a pointer to be included in the Cleanfile, the associated record in the jurisdiction must contain a conviction or withdrawal specified in 23 CFR Part 1327 section 1327.5 (a) or in Appendix A to that rule.
To participate in this Cleanfile, please email NDR prior to June 7, 2013, and plan to send your file to NDR no later than June 19, 2013.
Cleanfiles must be submitted via Secure FTP or FTP. Plan to send a small test file to test connectivity and formatting. If an FTP connection has not been established or tested since March 27, 2011, please allow 2-3 weeks to establish and test connectivity.
If you have any questions, please email NDR.

Social Security Number Issuance Enhancement - Randomization |
On June 25, 2011, the Social Security Administration (SSA) changed the process for issuing social security numbers (SSNs) by creating a new method of issuance called "randomization". Part of the randomization change now allows for the inclusion of “8” as the first character in a SSN. Please note that randomization may require updates to your in-house systems and business processes.
For details, see Social Security Number Randomization.

Security Reminder |
AAMVA's security policies specifically prohibit the disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) through electronic means. AAMVA members and customers must not transmit PII by email to the AAMVA staff. In most cases, providing the name and DLN will enable your AAMVA point of contact to assist you. If there is a need for more information, your AAMVA point of contact will contact you through proper channels to securely transmit any additional information.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
