AAMVA, IAB Say Hello to Member Support, Adios to Harvard Scholarships
It's in economic times like these where associations matter most. And to continue delivering the power of association to your jurisdiction, AAMVA and the Industry Advisory Board (IAB) have teamed up to offer scholarships for motor vehicle and law enforcement employees to attend upcoming AAMVA regional meetings, workshops or the Annual International Conference.
Both AAMVA and the IAB know and respect the value you have placed on over 10 years of support for the Harvard Scholarships. But for today, we're deferring our combined support of this offering, and focusing closer to home on what matters most...you.
This allows us to bring together a greater amount of jurisdictional members than the two members we typcailly fund to attend Harvard. And time and time again, in member surveys, and anecdotally, you've told us what you value most in your association is "the opportunity to network and learn from your counterparts," from across North America and beyond.
While we won't be parking the proverbial AAMVA or IAB cars in Harvard Yard this year, we will explore in the coming days, how to best offer new opportunities to you and your staff. Stay tuned. And if you have any questions, please contact Dianne Graham, director, Member & Conference Services at (703) 908-8267 or dgraham@aamva.org.
