Certified Motorcycle Examiner (CME) Program

The Certified Motorcycle Examiner (CME) program is one of three core model programs within the International Driver Examiner  Certification (IDEC) program.  The program was developed to recognize and certify examiners in the area of motorcycle testing.  The program was developed in cooperation with the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF).

A downloadable version of the 2007 Certified Motorcycle Examiner (CME) Program Overview is now available.

Motorcycle Training Verification

To verify that an applicant has successfully completed motorcycle rider education, please call the appropriate state administrator.  They can either verify, or direct you to someone else in their state that might have the applicable records.  Please click on the link below which will help you in selecting the desired state, and call or e mail the administrator: http://www.smsa.org/membership/state_listing/

Applicants do not need to be CDE-certified to qualify for accreditation in the CME and CCE program areas.  Applicants will need to take an additional ten question exam in order to complete their certification.

Jurisdictions interested in becoming accredited in any of the program areas may contact Denise Hanchulak.
