The Financial Responsibility and Insurance Committee and the insurance industry have explored a uniform method for determining the rate of uninsured motorists. Together, AAMVA, member jurisdictions and industry are trying to identify a single method on which all parties could agree.
In July 2001, the FR Measuring Uninsured Motorists Working Group published its recommendations in the report, Standardizing the Way We Measure the Uninsured Motorist.
