Government Affairs
As a means to further enhance communications between the AAMVA membership regarding state legislative and regulatory issues, the association has set up this forum through Yahoo! Groups. The association is hopeful that this service will help members seeking input on state legislation, program administration, or other regulatory issues communicate with other jurisdictions to gain additional perspectives and insights. Updates on activities and issues in Washington will also be provided through this service.

IRP Community
The IRP_Community group will be used to promote communications and interaction within the IRP community. This group will discuss issues that are pertinent to IRP issues as well as being able to share different procedures and information. It will give the members a way to interact with each other so information can be distributed to everyone, and gathered from everyone.
This group will also be used to create new and smaller discussion groups in the future for members that want to deal with specific issues which are pertinent to the community such as ballots, audits, the clearinghouse, etc.

Information Technology (IT)
This Yahoo! Group provides a forum for discussing Information Technology (IT) issues of interest to the AAMVA community. Participation in this Yahoo! Group is limited to members and associate members of AAMVA.
The focus of the IT Yahoo! Group is to exchange information within the AAMVA community on the types of information technologies used by AAMVA member and the lessons-learned during the implementation and operation of these technologies. For example, the Yahoo! Group provides a quick and effective way to determine which jurisdictions have used or plan to use a particular technology. In addition to discussion of IT issues, the Yahoo! Group will also be used to distribute AAMVA’s The Week in Review.
In addition to the exchange of e-mail messages, the IT Yahoo! Group offers participants a number of other ways to interact, including reviewing messages in a threaded discussion format and on-line discussions. All web-based features can be found listed vertically on the left-hand side of your screen.
