One of the primary activities of the AAMVA membership is vehicle registration. Registration activities contribute to the safety mission of AAMVA by
- helping law enforcement identify a vehicle involved in a crime, crash or traffic violation
- enforcing vehicle safety inspections where required by the jurisdiction
- verifying insurance of the vehicle
- helping to notify owners where vehicle recalls are required
Committee Involvement
A number of Vehicle Standing Committee projects address vehicle and registration title issues. The committee also promotes AAMVA polices related to registration.
