Committees & Disciplines Overview

The key to any association’s viability is the involvement of its members. AAMVA’s volunteers lead program and policy development. Get involved today by first obtaining approval from your chief administrator and then contacting your Regional Vice President.
 

AAMVA streamlined its standing committee structure in January 2006 to reflect the three core business functions of the membership. There are three standing committees: Driver, Enforcement and Vehicle. Each committee has 10 volunteers, one from each of the 10 discipline areas.

3. Financial Responsibility & Insurance
4. Information Technology
5. Law Enforcement
6. Legal Services
7. Motor Carrier Services 
8. Public Affairs & Consumer Education 
9. Vehicle Registration & Title 
10. Vehicle Safety & Inspection.

The three committees meet both independently and in joint session.

At times Working Groups and Task Forces are formed to focus on specific areas within a discipline.
