Mission
In support of AAMVA’s goals and committees, identify, analyze, promote and facilitate information exchange and technology for the AAMVA community to assist administration, law enforcement and safety initiatives.
Goals of the IT Discipline
The following are the goals and objectives of the committee:
- To facilitate the use of information technology in ways that diminish fraud, enhance safety and protect privacy.
- To promote and facilitate uniformity in the development of information systems and exchange of data through the use of standards.
- To provide forums for the exchange of ideas, experiences and knowledge in the development of information technology.
- To coordinate the review and evaluation of new and existing information technology of interest to the AAMVA community.
