Mission
The Law Enforcement Discipline deals with issues surrounding law enforcement and the promotion of traffic/highway safety. The Law Enforcement Discipline exists to promote highway safety and security within the motor vehicle administration community.
Goals:
- Combine the interests of law enforcement and motor vehicle administrators for the enhancement of highway safety and homeland security.
- Strive for viable communication and coordination among all traffic safety organizations.
- Encourage the continuing education of law enforcement and motor vehicle administrators.
- Encourage technological advancement and the use of such devices and techniques for the improvement of law enforcement services.
- Promote uniformity, consistency and simplicity in the enforcement and administration of motor vehicle laws and regulations.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving is a 501(c)(3) non-profit grass roots organization with more than 600 chapters nationwide. MADD is not a crusade against alcohol consumption - MADD's mission is to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime, and prevent underage drinking.

The mission of the Transportation
Safety Planning group is to promote
safety in the transportation planning
process. Their web site is designed to help transportation planners integrate safety into transportation plans at the state and local levels as required by the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act. A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU).
The Century Council, founded by
America's leading distillers,
promotes responsible decision-making
regarding alcoholic beverages and fights alcohol abuse, focusing on drunk driving and underage drinking problems. A number of resources are provided to assist organizations and law enforcement agencies to combat drunk driving.

Three law enforcement officials have been selected to represent the needs and concerns of the law enforcement community within the new AAMVA Committee structure. If you have comments or suggestions or would like to propose a project or program for AAMVA to consider, you are encouraged to contact any of your representatives listed below.
