CSD/PACE Real ID Analysis Project

The Customer Service Delivery (CSD) and Public Affairs and Consumer Education disciplines have recently been approved for a joint project under the Law Enforcement Committee. The Real ID Analysis Project Working Group charter was approved by the AAMVA Steering Committee on May 4, 2007.

The working group will review the proposed rules for the Real ID Act published by DHS and identify and document customer service issues that will result from implementation of the Act. The working group's deliverables include best practices and recommendations to minimize the impact on customers and stakeholders. The working group's deliverables are due no later than May 30, 2008. Read the complete charter.

Like Developing Best Practices, Want to Come to Washington, D.C.?
You'll need to be able to commit to a few conference calls over the next several months (probably no more than one per month) and one trip to Arlington, Va in mid-July (AAMVA picks up the tab).  You should have an interest in volunteering and writing best practices.

For more information, or to volunteer, contact AAMVA's Dianne Graham, liaison, CSD Discipline at dgraham@aamva.org or Jaosn D. King, liaison, PACE Discipline at jking@aamva.org by May 17, 2007.

Don't forget, you'll need the approval of your supervisor to volunteer.
