Redesigned Certificate of Title and Salvage Tile Issued in Nevada

The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles will begin issuing a redesigned Certificate of Title and Salvage Title on Aug. 21, 2006. The significant changes reflected in the new design are:

  • The size of the title has increased to 8” x 11,” including the tear-off mailing tab

  • The title will now display up to four brands

  • The title will now have a printed bar code per AAMVA standards, and

  • Additional lines have been added to capture the customer’s Nevada Driver’s License number, Identification Card number, or their FEIN

Additionally, a new Non-Repairable Vehicle Certificate began production on July 1, 2006. The Non-Repairable Vehicle Certificate is now printed on green paper stock with a blue border. Examples of the new documents can be viewed on the Nevada DMV's Web site. Previously issued Certificates of Ownership are still valid. You may direct any questions or concerns to Carol Falk via e-mail or at (775) 684-4562, or Bernadette Neito-Markussen via e-mail or at (775) 684-4689.
