TJX Letter Sends Data Breach Victims to DMV

AAMVA learned today the TJX Companies, Inc. (T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods and A.J. Wright stores) recently began sending letters to customers affected by a data breach occurring between July 2005 and Dec. 18, 2006.

This letter further instructs the reader to contact their local Department of Motor Vehicles, in addition to credit bureaus, for fraud prevention assistance  Some states are noticing an increase in the volume of calls to their customer service centers.
