Driver examiners at the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) are helping the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) raise awareness for Operation Zero Tolerance (OZT) -- a statewide DUI crackdown this Labor Day Holiday. At DDS customer service centers (CSCs) across the state, driver examiners are wearing OZT lapel pins to remind customers to never drink and drive.
The pins, provided by GOHS, say "DDS supports Operation Zero Tolerance" which spans Friday, August 15th through Monday, September 1st. A goal of OZT is to bring public awareness to the deadly consequences of drunk driving so motorists will not drive impaired. Designating a sober driver and never letting a friend drive drunk are just two simple ways to avoid an impaired driving crash or arrest.
