  • AAMVA Bears - 2018 AIC CharityPennDOT and AAMVA are proud to announce the Bears on Parade Fundraiser for the 2018 AAMVA Annual International Conference! Bears on Parade will benefit the CHOP Safety Center, a part of the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

As part of its mission to serve the community and prevent injuries in children, CHOP operates a Safety Center. The Safety Center provides protective products – such as car seats, bike helmets, smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, baby gates, products for children with special needs, and much more – to families in the Philadelphia region. CHOP’s Injury Prevention Program also includes a car seat distribution program, which distributes approximately 1,400 free car seats each year to families who cannot afford one.

Your donation to the CHOP Safety Center, supporting this vital program, will ensure that everyone – regardless of income – can keep their kids safe. Your generosity will be greatly appreciated! All donations made through this website will go directly to CHOP. Your gift will be automatically added to the running total. You can also donate at the Chair’s Welcome Reception on Tuesday, August 21 by bringing a check (made out to CHOP).

In addition to donating to support this worthy cause, we also encourage you to enter a “runway-ready” bear into our friendly competition, representative of your jurisdiction, business or organization. During the AIC, conference attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite bear. Be creative and brighten a child’s day! All the bears will be donated to CHOP’s Fostering Health Program, to go home with foster kids that receive medical care at CHOP’s clinic.

    Bear Donation Guidelines

Be sure to follow the guidelines below for bear submissions.

    • Bears and bear outfits must be brand new.  All items donated to the Children’s Hospital must be brand new for infection prevention.
    • No small buttons, accessories, etc. on the bear outfits, due to choking hazards.
    • The bears should be approximately 12-18 inches tall.

If you are unable to transport your bear to Philadelphia, please mail it, with the donation form, to:
