The key to any association's viability is the involvement of its members.
AAMVA members contribute to program and policy development by serving on volunteer committees, subcommittees, and working groups.
These groups, under guidance of the Board of Directors, develop policy positions, oversee programs, and create resources such as best practices, standards, manuals, and guidance documents.
Volunteer Opportunities
The three discipline standing committees recruit for open vacancies each spring, to begin their terms at the start of each fiscal year. Working groups are approved as part of the budget process and recruit for vacancies in the fall. Groups will also experience unexpected vacancies throughout the year. All volunteer opportunities will be posted here and announced in our weekly member e-newsletter, The Week in Review.
Serving on a group is an ideal way to help the community at large to address a number of topics and challenges and also serves as an opportunity for professional development. Below find current vacancies.
