AAMVA's Brian Ursino will be presenting at the webinar, Stop Repeat Drunk Drivers – Compliance Based Removal of Ignition Interlocks (and Other Best Practices), hosted by the National Alliance to Stop Impaired Driving (NASID), November 29 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm EST. We all have roles to play in preventing impaired driving. A key component states can employ is utilizing compliance-based removal of ignition interlock devices and other key best practices to reduce recidivism and to save lives.
Along with Responsibility.org and the National Alliance to Stop Impaired Driving (NASID), the webinar will examine the recently released study, Impact of Compliance-Based Removal Laws on Alcohol-Impaired Driving Recidivism, conducted by Tara Casanova Powell and Dr. Ryan C. Smith for the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA), and the 2023 updated Ignition Interlock Program Best Practices Guide created by the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) Ignition Interlock Program Best Practices Working Group. Register to join the conversation.
