By: AAMVA Staff

AAMVA’s President and CEO, Ian Grossman, will provide witness testimony before the House Homeland Security Committee in a December 5 hearing entitled, “Identity Management Innovation: Looking Beyond REAL ID.” AAMVA was given the opportunity to describe current effort in the states to transition identity credentials and technology to a modern environment and describe the opportunities the federal government has in supporting those efforts. The full transcript of Ian’s testimony is available via the hearing website. AAMVA looks forward to continued close collaboration with the committee as it describes federal policy with respect to identity management and its implications for national security. An archived webcast of the hearing should be provided via the Committee’s website after the conclusion of the hearing, or members are invited to view the hearing live.
