    Administrator, Wisconsin Division of Motor Vehicles

    Kristina Boardman was appointed Administrator of the Wisconsin Division of Motor Vehicles on February 21, 2016.  The Wisconsin DMV employs 740 staff persons at more than 90 locations throughout the state.  The division collects approximately $850 million annually through its services for 4.2 million drivers, 600,000 ID card holders, and 5.7 million registered vehicles.

    Prior to her appointment as Administrator, Boardman served as Wisconsin DMV Deputy Administrator for three years and the Director of the DMV Bureau of Field Services for five years.  During her tenure with the Wisconsin DMV, Boardman has led teams in the implementation of REAL ID as well as administration of the division’s role in Wisconsin’s Voter ID law.

    Previous to her work at DMV, Boardman spent 10 years with the Wisconsin State Assembly (1995-2005), where she served as the committee clerk for the Assembly Committees on Education, Rural Affairs and Forestry, and Transportation.
    She currently serves on the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) Region III Board, and is a member of the AAMVA International Board of Directors.  

    Boardman is a graduate of Augustana College in Rock Island, IL, with a degree in Political Science and Philosophy.
