Marnie Kacher

Marnie Kacher joined Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) in April 2011. She became Registrar of Motor Vehicles in 2018 with accountability for administration of the Drivers and Vehicles Act (DVA), including strategic oversight of policies, business rules and procedures related to DVA programs and for maintaining and enforcing driver and vehicle licensing standards, driver and vehicle records, information sharing agreements, and managing reciprocal licence exchange arrangements with foreign countries. In January 2020, Marnie started a three year assignment as an Operational Business Champion (OBC) for MPI’s business transformation project where she is accountable to ensure the solution’s success by providing DVA business context, expertise, and guidance to the team, facilitating problem solving, ensuring the solution can be sustainable, and exercising strategic control to achieve project objectives and business benefits. Marnie represents Manitoba on the CCMTA board and also chairs the CCMTA Audit & Finance committee.
