Treasure Tyson

Treasure Tyson joined the Mississippi Driver Service Bureau (DSB) in June 2023. She is currently the director of the DSB for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety. Prior to joining DSB, she served as a public defender in Hinds and Lauderdale Counties. She worked under two Attorneys General in Mississippi for nearly eighteen years. During her tenure at the Attorney General's Office, she served as a Special Assistant Attorney General (SAAG) as well as a Special Assistant United States Attorney (SAUSA) for the Southern District of MS. As a SAAG, she represented state agencies and prosecuted crimes against public integrity as well as vulnerable adults and healthcare fraud. She was the director of the MS Medicaid Fraud Control Unit for over eight years during which time she served as a SAUSA in the arena of healthcare fraud. She also served as counsel in the Mississippi Office of Capital Post-Conviction Counsel. Treasure received her bachelor’s degree from Mississippi College and her Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law.
