In this conference session, attendees will delve into essential strategies for preparing their organizations for upcoming milestones. The agenda includes discussions on critical topics ranging from compliance mandates to technological transitions and handling challenging scenarios. Topics can include CDL mandates implementation; transitioning to REST as AAMVA sunsets the AMIE and UNI interfaces; insights from TSA on the REAL ID deadline; and navigating complex social dynamics during politically charged times.

Hear from experts on the requirements for vehicle importation and exportation. Learn about common fraud schemes in this area and discuss useful mitigation tools.

Innovative Customer Service: Exploring Privatized Service Delivery Models

In this session we’ll hear from representatives of the private registry agents that deliver motor vehicle services on behalf of the Government of Alberta, as well as hear from government staff responsible for administration of the private registry agent network. We’ll explore the unique challenges and opportunities that are inherent with adopting private service delivery models.


Electronic Vehicle Titling and Vehicle Records Management – Case Studies and Roadmap to the Future

This panel discussion will provide an opportunity to engage with jurisdictions who have developed methods to eliminate paper in portions of the vehicle titling and vehicle record management process. Panelists will share steps they took in their research, why they proceeded with the projects they did, and lessons learned. Attendees will also hear an update about research AAMVA is conducting to develop a roadmap and strategy for interoperable electronic vehicle titling and vehicle records management.


Artificial Intelligence in the Public Sector: Current Applications and Future Directions

This session provides attendees with an understanding of AI's current applications, policy considerations, and future directions in the public sector, featuring insights from industry leaders and practitioners. Attendees will hear how some states are leveraging AI technologies to prevent online transaction fraud; what policies states are creating and implementing around the use of AI in the public sector; and what are some of the emerging trends, technologies, and potential applications for AI to provide better service and smart governance.
