AAMVA attended the Global Forum for Road Traffic Safety’s 92nd session. AAMVA provides guidance and subject matter expertise to an informal working group tasked with preparing amendments to Article 41 (Driving Permits) of the 1968 Vienna convention on Road Traffic. The efforts of this informal group aim to improve document security and interoperability and define approaches to achieve better harmony between conventions. In addition to AAMVA’s participation on the informal group, AAMVA collaborates with, and supports the delegation for the United States and Canada. AAMVA was also invited to provide a brief update on Digital Driving Permits in North America.
