Holly Merz, AAMVA’s NMVTIS JSI Sr. Program Analyst, attended the Recycled Materials Association (ReMA) conference in San Diego, California from May 12-15. Representing more than 1,700 companies around the world, ReMA is the largest association for the recycled materials industry. There were over 5,300 attendees at the conference. Holly delivered a presentation on the NMVTIS Law Enforcement Access Tool (LEAT) and the JSI Program to the ReMA Law Enforcement committee. Holly is also a member of the committee. There are currently 15 members of the committee including representatives from law enforcement agencies, Southern California Edison, Cargo Net, Travelers Inland Marine and SA Recycling. The purpose of the committee is to build partnerships through education, relationship building, and providing tools for law enforcement and analysts in areas related to the recycling industry.
