The AAMVA Board of Directors held their annual spring meeting last week in Arlington, VA. The board received financial, operational updates, and key program updates as well as met with partners from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and Department of Homeland Security, USCIS. The board took several actions, including approving the publication of an updated Card Design Standard and the second edition of the License Plate Reader Program Best Practices. They also approved a new proposed policy for member consideration on Visible Indicators, which will be presented at the Annual Membership Meeting in September at the Annual International Conference for member adoption.
