AAMVA is pleased to announce that David Sparks has been selected as the new Law Enforcement Program Manager. David joins AAMVA with over 40 years of law enforcement and roadway safety experience, currently serving as Office Director with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). David’s career spans work as a deputy sheriff, paramedic, state criminal investigator with the Utah State Tax Commission, and federal law enforcement officer working with NHTSA since 1999. His time with NHTSA included working as a criminal investigator, special agent in charge, senior advisor for enforcement, and his current position as Office Director for the Office of Odometer Fraud Investigations. David will begin working for AAMVA on Monday, September 28 in preparation for the pending retirement of Tom Foster on Wednesday, October 30.
