The International Association of Chiefs of Police State and Provincial Police Division held its mid-year meeting in San Antonio, TX this week. Tim Roufa, AAMVA’s Manager of Identity Management, and Lori Daigle, AAMVA's Program Specialist for Identity Management, met with state and provincial police leaders and delivered a presentation on mobile drivers licenses (mDL). As police leaders from across the United States and Canada were gathered to discuss issues related to roadway safety and law enforcement technologies, the AAMVA team provided information on what mDL is, how it works, why it matters to law enforcement, and what agencies can do to embrace it.
