Denise Hanchulak, AAMVA’s Program Manager for Driver/Medical Certification Standards, participated this week in the State Motorcycle Safety Association's (SMSA’s) National Motorcycle Safety Training Summit in Minnesota. This year's summit, themed "One Mission, Short Term Goals for Long Term Safety," convened state motorcycle coordinators, rider education organizations, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and industry partners to advance motorcycle safety through collaboration. The theme reflects a broader recognition within the field that meaningful reductions in motorcycle fatalities depend on sustained, incremental progress across licensing, education, and enforcement. AAMVA remains committed to supporting jurisdictions in their efforts to reduce motorcycle-related fatalities through improved training programs, strengthened licensing standards, and continued cross-agency collaboration.
