Hawaii Joins State-to-State Driver History Record; Hawaii and Nebraska Implement the Medical Examiner Certification Integration Final Rule (NRII) Solution

1/1/0001

AAMVA congratulates Hawaii on successfully implementing the State-to-State (S2S) Verification Service Driver History Record (DHR) and the Medical Examiner Certification Integration Final Rule (NRII) solution on May 18, 2025; congratulations to Nebraska for also implementing the NRII solution. All migration activities have completed on schedule, and CDLIS/S2S services are fully operational now. Hawaii will henceforth be able to use S2S DHR to perform their Driver History maintenance related functions. This supports the goal of limiting any person to only one driver’s license and one driver history. Starting May 19, 2025, Hawaii and Nebraska will begin receiving medical certification information electronically from the National Registry. These states are now able to inquire the National Registry for a driver's medical certification information.Read more here.
