On October 1, 2026, during AAMVA's Annual International Conference, Bud Craddock, outgoing chair of the Board, presented the prestigious Chair’s Award of Excellence and Achievement to Rhonda Lahm. Rhonda Lahm is the Director of the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles, a position she was most recently appointed to in 2023 after previously serving as director under two prior governors. Before joining the DMV, she spent more than 25 years with the Nebraska State Patrol, retiring as a Major. Lahm has also held several state government and community leadership roles and has served on both the AAMVA Region 3 and International Boards of Directors.
