AAMVA’s subcommittees and working groups are convened under the auspices of the three discipline committees, Driver, Vehicle, and Law Enforcement, to discuss, investigate, and provide recommendations or guidance to members on a variety of topics. Subcommittees are ongoing groups convened for specific programs. They oversee and provide guidance and subject matter expertise for program development and maintenance. Working groups are created to research and develop deliverables on specific topics. Once a working group publishes a best practice, standard, manual, or other guidance document, the group is sunset.
