From May 5-7, AAMVA and Region 2 President Mimzie Dennis, Texas Department of Public Safety, hosted the 2026 Region 2 Conference in Austin, Texas, ending with the swearing in of the new Region 2 Board of Directors and their president, Karl McClary (South Carolina). There were 556 registered attendees, including 189 jurisdiction members from 16 jurisdictions. Members attended sessions on hot topics, including identity management, vehicle titling, driver licensing, law enforcement, operations, and more. Along with learning opportunities, the conference provided the chance to network and consult with peers in the Exhibit Hall, Quick Connect, President's Welcome Reception and Dinner, Peer-to-Peer Discussions and Town Halls, Board Social, and the Texas State Reception and Banquet. We also recognized outstanding achievements at the Awards Luncheon—congratulations to all of the Region 2 award winners!
