Applications are now open for the August 2026 CDL Train-the-Trainer Course, taking place August 3–7, 2026, in Appleton, Wisconsin. Hosted by AAMVA, this intensive 60-hour course is designed for CDL Examiner Trainer candidates who will conduct examiner training within their jurisdictions. The program includes six virtual pre-course sessions in addition to in-person instruction and hands-on training.
Course topics include adult teaching and learning theories, the AAMVA Certified Commercial Examiner (CCE) Instructor Manual, the Modernized CDL Testing System, and peer-teaching assignments designed to strengthen instructional and presentation skills. Participants should have thorough knowledge of CDL programs, current CDL skills test experience, and strong communication skills. Participation is limited to 12 attendees, with one participant permitted per jurisdiction. Travel, lodging, and meals will be covered by AAMVA. Applications have been distributed to jurisdictions.
