The first phase of AAMVA's Electronic Titling Solution for Private Party Vehicles is officially launched, and it's a game-changer for electronic titling across the U.S. Motor Vehicle Agencies (MVAs) can now facilitate vehicle record transfers electronically between private parties—both within the same jurisdiction or across state lines. By reducing dependency on paper titles and manual processing, the solution delivers meaningful improvements in data accuracy, fraud prevention, and the overall consumer experience. The first jurisdictions going live are Maryland, Massachusetts, West Virginia, and Arizona, with the initial jurisdiction targeting a May 2026 go-live. This milestone is the result of incredible collaboration across AAMVA’s membership and as the solution grows, we'll continue expanding support for additional use cases and welcoming more jurisdictions to the program.
