The AAMVA Region 2 Board met last week, followed by a Motor Vehicle Administrator and Law Enforcement Official roundtable held in New Orleans, Louisiana. Attendees from 14 Region 2 jurisdictions attended this full day of meetings, discussing a wide range of challenges, successes, and opportunities. Topics included electronic vehicles, data governance, use of artificial intelligence, mobile DLs, training, recruitment and retention, IT systems, fraud, vehicle imports, and many others. There was also great input and discussion on the topics to be included in the 2024 Region 2 Conference program. Idea-sharing did not stop in the meeting rooms. Meals provided more opportunities to network as well. The Region appreciates the partnership with industry, and several associate member sponsorships helped support the board meeting.
