CONCURRENT SESSIONS

Retain, Engage, Thrive: Low-Cost Strategies for a Stronger Employee Experience

The best retention tools are often free. This session gives MVA leaders practical strategies they can put to work right away, from recognition practices and communication habits to culture shifts and management approaches that build engagement and reduce turnover.

Beyond the Speed Limit: How ISA Is Reshaping Driver Safety and Jurisdictional Policy

Speed is a leading factor in traffic fatalities and Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) technology is changing how jurisdictions respond. This session covers progress from AAMVA’s ISA Working Group, recent state legislative activity, and emerging implementation approaches, including how ISA programs are managed when drivers cross jurisdictional lines.

Card Design Considerations: Strengthening Relying Party Trust in the Physical Credential

A credential is only as trusted as its design. This session examines how the card design standard, secure card design principles, and lifecycle management practices work together to strengthen relying party confidence in the physical card.

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Automated Vehicles: Safety, Tampering, and First Responder Readiness

ADAS technology and autonomous vehicles are already on our roads — and they’re creating new challenges for law enforcement and motor vehicle agencies. This session addresses two critical areas: the alteration and tampering of ADAS systems and first responder readiness for autonomous vehicle incidents. Attendees will learn what tampering methods exist, how they affect crash causation and driver testing, and how industry partners are training first responders. The session also previews AAMVA’s upcoming white paper on ADAS alteration and tampering, expected in fall 2026.
