Charity: Victory Service Dogs

Victory Service Dogs

Region 4 President, Barry Bratt, has selected Victory Service Dogs as this year’s conference charity. Founded in 2015 by Army veteran Steve Corey, the nonprofit improves access to service dogs for veterans, first responders, and others, through free, hands-on training. Veterans are paired with service dog candidates and guided through weekly classes with professional trainers, building strong bonds and individualized support. The organization has helped hundreds regain independence and successfully transition to civilian life, and has expanded its impact through the VictoryKids program, which provides customized service dog training for children with special needs. For more information on Victory Service Dogs, please visit their website at victorysd.org.

The fundraising activity this year will be a balloon pop raffle. Stop by the AAMVA registration desk during registration hours through noon on Thursday to purchase balloon pop raffle tickets ($30/each) for your chance to win a prize. All proceeds from ticket sales benefit Victory Service Dogs. Balloons will be popped at Thursday’s banquet.
