In this session we will discuss identity establishment and issuance procedures and their effect on relying party trust. We will also discuss relying party education to assure their continued trust in the credentials.


Multistage Vehicle Working Group Update

What do you do when a customer presents two MSOs listing different models and different model years all for the same vehicle? Welcome to the world of multi-stage vehicles. Fire apparatus, motor homes, buses, and garbage trucks are just a few examples of multi-stage vehicles. AAMVA's Multi-Stage Vehicle Working Group has spent the year looking at the unique aspects of these vehicles including dealer licensing, warranty and recalls, and the titling and registration process. Come hear what the group has done so far and share your suggestions on the topic.

REST Transition for AAMVA Driver Systems

This session will be informative for states who have not yet made plans for their conversion to REST. Specifics will be provided on availability of resources for Commercial Driver License Information System (CDLIS)State-to-State (S2S), Problem Driver Pointer System (PDPS), and Commercial Skills Test Information Management System (CSTIMS). The session will be an opportunity for AAMVA staff to share the urgency of making the changes and to listen to concerns and challenges states may face in meeting the January 2028 deadline.

   

Mobile Driver Lincense (mDL) Ecosystem Updates

In this session you will hear the latest in all things mDL including ISO 18013 parts 5 and 7, AAMVA mDL Implementation Guidelines, relying party outreach and education, Digital Trust Service (DTS) updates, and a summary of the mDL Relying Party Demonstration event held September 8th.


Setting the Record Straight Through Marketing, Social Media and Front-Line Access to Information

This session dives into how motor vehicle administrators (MVAs) are transforming customer experience by embracing modern marketing strategies and staying ahead of social media trends. Learn how MVAs are using social media in a targeted way to build trust, reduce confusion, and improve service delivery. Learn how to equip frontline employees with accurate, up-to-date information and effective communication techniques to correct misunderstandings with clarity and confidence. We'll discuss the role of digital tools, signage, public outreach, and marketing strategies in creating consistency in a trustworthy information ecosystem. 


Moving Law Enforcement from Reactive to Proactive by Leveraging Telematics Data

The California Highway Patrol and Washington State Patrol partnered with Michelin Mobility Intelligence to enhance their enforcement deployment strategies using insights from telematics data. This presentation will explore how new data sources can help establish a proactive approach to road safety. Learn how these innovative tools can help law enforcement anticipate and mitigate risks to achieve safer roads.
